Recommendation Engine

A system for building user profiles and recommending content that operates on top of the MediaFinder semantic space. It can model complex user interests (i.e. someone who likes heavy metal and classical music) that may change over time.

The system learns “on the fly” and does not require existing usage data for training. Extensions allow for hybrid approaches, i.e., the combination of similarity-based recommendations with popularity-based factors.
